Day 14 (2023.11.10) in NY

 

오늘도 낭만이 넘치는 뉴욕 지하철이다. 음악 실력도 정말 최고다. 뒤에서 무아지경으로 춤추시는 할머님이 너무 귀여우시다.

The New York subway is full of romance again today. Your music skills are amazing, too. The grandmother dancing in a trance in the back is so cute.

 

뉴욕에서 아주 오래된 핫도그 맛집에 왔다. 현금만 결제가 가능하다. 소시지가 꽤 얇다. 먹기 전 손 소독은 필수다. 배가 고파서 하나 더 주문하려고 한다. 맛은 있지만 짠맛이 강하다. 뉴욕의 전통 핫도그를 느껴보고 싶다면 추천한다.

I came to a very old hot dog restaurant in New York. We can only pay in cash. The sausage is quite thin. It is essential to sanitize my hands before eating. I'm hungry, so I'm going to order another one. It's delicious, but it's salty. If you want to feel the traditional hot dog in New York, I recommend it.

 

영화관을 좋아하는 나는 맨해튼에서 제일 좋아 보이는 영화관에 들어와 봤다. 지하에 내려가는 곳이 신비롭다. 지하에 상영관이 있다. 전체적으로 한국에 비하면 영화관이 좀 올드한 느낌이 든다.

I like the movie theater I've been to the best-looking movie theater in Manhattan. The place that goes down to the basement is mysterious. There is a theater underground. Overall, the movie theater feels a little old compared to Korea.

 

어쩌면 오늘이 타임스퀘어 야경을 볼 수 있는 마지막 밤일 것 같아 거기로 가고 있다. 타임스퀘어의 밤은 언제나 화려하다. 전광판에 BTS 정국이 찍은 광고도 보인다. 여기 와서 한국 뽕을 제대로 충전하고 간다. 언제 또 올지 모르니 최대한 많은 장면을 내 머릿속에 담았다.

Maybe today is the last night to see the night view of Times Square. I'm going there. The night in Times Square is always spectacular. I can also see an advertisement taken by BTS Jungkook on the electronic display. I'm here to charge my Korean mulberry properly. I put as many scenes in my head as I could, just in case I would come again.

 

 

Day 15 (2023.11.11) in NY

 

내일이면 한국으로 돌아간다. 가지전 마지막으로 맨해튼을 보기 위해 퀸즈에서 지하철을 기다린다. 뉴욕 지하철은 공기만 좀 깨끗하면 진짜 좋을 것 같다. 처음에는 두려웠는데 이제는 벌써 뉴욕 지하철이 그립다. 내가 만약 뉴욕에서 일하고 있다면, 아침에 이렇게 던킨에서 간단히 아침을 해결하고 있을 것 같다.

I will go back to Korea tomorrow. I wait for the subway in Queens to see Manhattan for the last time. I think the New York subway would be great if the air was clean. I was afraid at first, but now I miss the New York subway. If I'm working in New York, I think I'm having breakfast in Dunkin' like this.

 

여행 초반에는 경계심 때문에 음악 들으며 걷지 못했다. 그런데 이제는 편안해져서 음악을 들으며 맨해튼 거리를 걷고 있다. 총을 든 경찰이 거리에 있어서 긴장했는데 뉴요커들은 아무렇지 않게 도심을 러닝 한다.

At the beginning of the trip, I couldn't walk listening to music because I was wary. But now I feel comfortable, walking through the streets of Manhattan while listening to music. I was nervous because a policeman with a gun was on the street but the New Yorkers ran casually through the city center.

 

브랜드 색깔을 담은 개성 있는 건물들이 뉴욕의 멋을 더한다. 현대적인 건물과 예스러운 건물이 공존해서 거리를 걷기만 해도 눈이 즐겁다. 디올삭을 보고 있으면 시간과 공간이 생각나고 오묘한 느낌이 든다. 크리스마스가 되면 더 화려해진다고 한다. 한국 가서 영상으로 봐야겠다.

Unique buildings with brand colors add to New York's style. Modern and old-fashioned buildings coexist, so just walking down the street makes my eyes happy. Looking at Dior Saks reminds me of time and space, and I have a strange feeling. It is said that it becomes more colorful at Christmas. I should watch the video when I go back to Korea.

 

여행하면서 맨해튼의 동서남북을 돌아다니는 동안 신기하게 록펠러 센터 근처를 자주 지나쳤다. 이 거리가 가장 내 마음에 남을 것 같다. 아이스링크장 맞은편에 디올삭이 보이는 구도가 정말 예술이다. 록펠러 센터에는 크리스마스트리가 유명하다. 지금 나무가 도착했다. 이제 저걸 세우고 장식을 할 것 같다. 장식된 모습이 궁금하다. 크리스마스까지 더 머물고 싶어졌다.

Traveling around Manhattan's east, west, north and south, Strangely, I often passed near Rockefeller Center. I think this street will remain in my mind the most. The composition of Dior Saks across from the ice rink is really art. The Rockefeller Center is famous for its Christmas trees. The tree has arrived now. I think they are going to put that up and decorate it. I'm curious about the decorations. I wanted to stay longer until Christmas.

 

오늘은 재향군인의 날을 맞이해서 거리에 퍼레이드가 있다. 그래서 교통이 일부 통제되었다. 학생들도 퍼레이드에 참여하나 보다. 마지막 연습을 하는 것 같다. 이런 행사를 통해 미국인들은 애국심이 더 생길 것 같다. 특히 구경하고 있는 아이들에게 기념품을 준다. 이런 좋은 기억들은 아이 가치관에 좋은 영향을 줄 것 같다. 군인뿐만 아니라 경찰들도 퍼레이드에 함께한다. 이런 특별한 행사들이 맨해튼에서 많이 열리니까 맨해튼의 집값이 비싼 것 같다. 소방당국도 퍼레이드에 함께한다.

There is a parade on the street today for Veterans Day. So the traffic was partially closed. I guess students are participating in the parade, too. they seem to practice lastly. I think Americans will become more patriotic through these events. They especially give souvenirs to the children who are watching. I think these good memories will have a good influence on a child's values. Not only soldiers but also police join the parade. Many of these special events are held in Manhattan, so the house price in Manhattan seems to be high. The fire department is also joining the parade.
